Dutch Government Scholarship for Bachelor's Degree

At some universities, such as Utrecht University or Erasmus University Rotterdam , students can also receive €10,000 to €15,000 ($1,202 to $18,030). The scholarship also covers the cost of health insurance and visa applications. Applications for this scholarship are open to Iranian citizens and those who have not previously enrolled at a Dutch institution. The deadline for this scholarship has now closed for the 2023 academic year, and applications for the 2024 academic year will be open from around November.

Amsterdam Merit Scholarship
One of the scholarships that covers university tuition fees is the Amsterdam Merit Scholarship, which can be offered to students who have been admitted to the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands . The benefits of this scholarship at the undergraduate level are as follows:

An amount of 6,000 euros ($6,320) per year for students in economics and business
Funding equal to the student's tuition fee in the field of communication sciences
The deadline for this scholarship starts on April 1st, and the exact deadline date may vary depending on the field.

Scholarship (MEL Scholarship Trust Fund)
This scholarship is actually a grant for undergraduate students. The scholarship benefits from a 10-20% reduction in university tuition. The scholarship is for one year, but you can apply for it every year. To receive this scholarship, you must have an IELTS or TOEFL English language certificate and an essay of at least 3,000 words. The application deadline for this scholarship begins on June 1st of each year.

Zuyd Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship is offered by Zuid University of Applied Sciences in three types, which are as follows:

In the first type, the scholarship amount is 5,000 euros ($5,268) in the first year and in the following years, it is awarded as a discount of up to 3,800 euros ($4,000) on university tuition. The deadline for this scholarship is April 30. (Iranian students are eligible for this type.)
The second type of scholarship provides a maximum discount of 3800 (4 thousand dollars) on university tuition. The deadline for this scholarship is August 31 for the first semester and January 31 for the second semester. (Iranian students are eligible for this type.)
The last type of scholarship is a full tuition fee scholarship awarded to the most talented Chinese student. The deadline for this scholarship is April 30th.

Netherlands scholarships for PhD studies

AMC PhD Scholarship in Amsterdam
This scholarship is for applicants pursuing a Master’s or PhD in the field of medicine at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. The scholarship benefits include a PhD income grant for two and a half years as well as research expenses. Applicants have until the deadline for applications on August 11 to apply for the scholarship.

Netspar Research Grant
The organization awards various grants to students who are conducting doctoral research at Dutch universities. The amount of funding allocated for doctoral projects by the organization varies from 10,000 to 350,000 euros ($10,537 to $368,810). The project start deadline for this grant is March 6, and applicants must submit their applications from April 21 to June 23.

Erasmus Plus Scholarship
The Erasmus Plus scholarship also provides funding for PhD students. This scholarship is valid for 12 months and each institution and university provides funding for postgraduate and PhD students based on their own conditions. The application deadline for this scholarship is October 1st and applicants must submit their applications by January 26th.
